Happy Mother's Day to all the moms on my flist regardless of whether your children are 2 or 4 legged, still with you or gone on ahead.  You're all amazing and I love you all.
(Sorry if Dreamwidth peeps see this twice...I'm testing to make sure my Semagic is configured correctly.)

So today (Tuesday since it's after midnight for me) marks the 1 week point until I have my ultrasound in preparation for The Surgery which, hopefully, we can get scheduled not in May because I can't have it until after my disability hearing and, at that point, we'll be running out of May. Today also marks the 2 week mark until my disability hearing. I have to call my lawyer tomorrow or Wednesday to talk things over with them and I have a list of questions 3 pages long. Okay, granted the notebook they're in is a small almost pocket-sized notebook but still LOTS of questions and concerns.

Speaking of the hearing, Daddy and Jason are going with me hopefully as witnesses but at the very least immoral support. I asked Mom to come over and be with me that day but she can't be bothered since she'd have to miss a day of work and she'd have to make sure to be home by the time Jared got home blah blah blah. Basically, it's not a priority for her. Whatever. I'll have 2 of my favorite men with me so that's all I need. But I am nervous as all hell. I mean I have to walk with my cane at all times but there are days when walking just hurts too damned much and I need my wheelchair. More questions for the lawyer and case worker, Suzanne. Suzanne worked for social security so she knows better than most the shoulds and shouldn'ts.

Monday was a pretty good day all in all. Last night was rough as hell and despite the rain, Daddy, Jason, and I had a wonderful day. :) Taylor's off today so our good day won't continue.

Nothing much else to say. I did finally get my hair cut and it looks super cute. When I wash it and let it air dry, my hair curls and STAYS CURLY!! I mean not super curly but hey, I'll take what I can get. :) At its longest, it's about 1 1/2 inches below my earlobe. Daddy's coloring it for me probably Wednesday. Once it's colored, I'll take pics and post them.

Oh, Taylor bought Twilight because he heard it was about vampires. I told him it wasn't a horror movie (horrible in parts maybe but that's not the same thing) and I figured he'd hate it. NO! He's ready for New Moon to be out and wants us to go see it when it opens!! I had to explain the Twilight saga to my step-dad!!! He doesn't like reading so he's all "Movie based on books do not want" but he actually likes Twilight.

Duh...meant to post this earlier. Watched Stephen King's Rose Red last night and it wasn't that bad. I like movies that are more psychological than blood and gore and Stephen King is good at that. :) I don't think I'll be watching it religiously or anything but I can see myself watching it again from time to time.

Okay need to go medicate dogs. Wiggles gets his antibiotic and a puppy aspirin (antibiotic is for his mange that came back but is clearing up nicely thanks to amoxocillin for dogs and Ivermax; aspirin for his fever). And Charm and Bella get puppy aspirins. One, because they're both sick (all the dogs are...they have a cold...dog boogies everywhere EEWW!) and two because Charm has arthritis and the aspirin helps with that and Bella-boo...well, Bella-boo is dealing with a chemical pregnancy and she is NOT a happy camper.

Speaking of dogs, we have 2 "new" dogs. When we lost Sable, Dad emailed the one person who bought breeding priviledges to one of Sable's pups. Well, the people who bought Denali (Sable's) also bought one of Neela's boys, Mackinley (Mac for shorts). Turns out, the husband had a heart attack and passed away and Doris, his widow, was having to shut down their kennel so Daddy and Taylor went up to Chattanooga, TN and brought Mac and Denali home. They have the same dad, Bandit, but different moms and they look JUST LIKE BANDIT. And Denali sounds like Sassy-pants when she "talks". It's nice to have part of Sable back but it makes me miss her all the more sometimes.

And now, kids, I'm going to bed to, hopefully, get some much needed sleep. *hugs to all*

Okay so...

Let's see if this thing works.  If it does, indeed, work, I'm cross-posting from my new Dreamwidth account courtesy of [personal profile] ancientsavvy so if you have a DW account, I'm [personal profile] lyndasty  over here, too.  :)

Currently watching Rose Red.  I caught the last hour of it on SciFi earlier and HAD to see the whole thing so we found it at Barnes and Noble for $9.99 so we bought it.  Jason also bought me The Dark Hunter Companion for Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter book series and Acheron also one of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter books.  I ADORE the Dark Hunter series and I intend on getting the entire collection in paperback as soon as I can.  :)  But I do know that I want to get Sherrilyn and Alethea Kontis to sign my Dark Hunter Companion at Dragon*Con this year because I missed meeting Sherry last year but I won't miss her this year!  I might even get Sherry to sign my copy of Acheron since that book is hands down THE best book of the series since it tells Acheron's story.
